The Interreg V-A Spain-Portugal cooperation program (POCTEP) gives continuity to the cross-border programs started in 1989 in order to erase the harmful effects of the internal borders of the EU and improve the quality of life of the citizens in these areas of cooperation. The European Commission supports this program through the ERDF Funds.
The projects developed in the EUROACE cooperation area focus their objectives on promoting entrepreneurship, on the green or circular economy, on promoting the transfer of knowledge to the productive fabric of companies or on the improvement and enhancement of our heritage resources. There are also projects focused on new fields of cooperation with a more social content aimed at encouraging an active aging of the population or protecting women against gender-based violence. This section includes the projects developed in the field of the Euroregion during the last period.
