In 2017, schoolchildren from both sides of the Spanish-Portuguese Border met on Wednesday 10 May at the Castle Fortress of Valencia de Alcántara. European-themed games, music and fun were the protagonists in a day of coexistence between more than 200 young people from schools near the frontier.
Since the Euroregion was created in 2009, the aim has been to highlight our membership of the EUROACE on Europe Day, with the celebration of this date jointly between the three regions that form it. For this reason, every year during the week of 9 May, educational and recreational activities are organised with young people from the three regions.
