This strategic plan, which runs until 2030, was submitted by the EUROACE Cross-Border Working Community to the 1st POCTEP 2021-2027 call for proposals, and responds to Political Objective 5 (PO5) - A Europe closer to its citizens, through the sustainable and integrated development of all types of territories and local initiatives.
The ‘EUROACE_NEB Strategy – EUROACE Bauhaus Villages Strategy’ aims to establish the conceptual basis and framework for calls for proposals under OP5 in the Alentejo-Centro-Extremadura Euroregion, targeting agents and organisations in the functional area, taking into account the funding available and associated with this Policy Objective.
The strategy focuses on the ‘demographic challenge’ and has identified the area known as ‘Bauhaus Villages in EUROACE’ as a functional area, covering the municipalities of Pampilhosa da Serra, Sabugal, Arronches and Reguengos de Monsaraz in Portugal, and the regions of Sierra de Gata, Campiña Sur, Alagón, Alcántara, Valencia de Alcántara, Alburquerque, Badajoz, Olivenza and Jerez de los Caballeros in Spain.
